Dropshipping vs dropservicing – what is the difference?

If you’re looking to make money online, there are a variety of methods you can use at this time. Some of the most common ones are dropservicing and dropshipping. The reason why a lot of people use them is because they are very simple, convenient and you will find them extremely easy to get into. Unlike other methods, there’s no barrier when it comes to age or experience. You do need to learn the basics, but in the end you can make quite a lot of money passively. That alone can make a huge difference in the long run.

What is dropshipping?

The main idea behind dropshipping is that you create an online store and sell products without having inventory. Instead of having the inventory yourself, you sell products sold by a wholesaler. You know what the wholesaler is charging, and you add your cut on top of that. Your focus on when you are dropshipping is to try and promote your business online and generate sales.

It’s a lot of promotion and online marketing as you generate traffic, leads and customers. Once people come to your website and buy stuff, the order goes to the wholesaler and they fulfill it. The cool thing about dropshipping is that you don’t need to have inventory yourself. Instead, you get to sell via the wholesaler and they handle everything. That also includes shipping.

What you will like about this system is that it requires minimal work from your side. You don’t need to handle any of the physical stuff, instead you just handle the marketing and make sure that you generate sales. Then the rest will come without you having to worry about. It’s a clever idea to consider, especially if you want to make money online in the long run.

Be aware, that by “minimal work” we mean that you won’t have to deal with the actual shipping or delivery. You will still need to put a lot of work into digital marketing. In order to promote your shop, you will have to put up lots of ads on Facebook and Google. SEO (Search engine optimization) is the free way of getting traffic to your website but it is also the hardest. What is dropservicing?

At its core, dropservicing is very similar to dropshipping. As the name suggests, this is all about offering services instead of products. But the core focus is still the same, you create a website where you offer services, and when you get orders, you hire freelancers and other people that provide the service at a cheaper price.

Obviously, dropservicing requires you to add your cut on top of what the freelancer charges. This way you just focus on promoting your business and freelancers will do all the work for you when you get a new order. It’s a very good system, and the fact that you have so much freedom is what really makes it stand out of the crowd. Not only that, but you get to push your creativity and offer new services, while having others to do the work for you.

The fact that dropservicing makes it easy to outsource your work means you can start it in any field you want. It works really well, and you can always expand, provide new services and so on. Of course, this also means you need to find professionals that do the work for you. The truth is that it can take a while. And even then, there’s the problem with getting consistency. It’s definitely not an easy thing to focus on, but it will be well worth the effort in the long run.

There are multiple websites where you can find freelancers but we will discuss only 2 of them. Fiverr is a great place to find someone that will get a job done for cheap. You can sort the freelancers by rating, who is online, orders etc…. You can find great deals for some simple services like article writing, video editing and many more.

Upwork is probably the biggest freelance platform. It is also the most reliable one. You can see each sellers reputation and background. One thing that separates Upwork from Fiverr is that the freelancers can bid on projects.

Be sure to check both of them before hiring someone to work for you.

Which is the better option for you?

The great thing about dropservicing and dropshipping is the fact that you are not handling the products or services on your own. Instead, you have someone else working for you, and you just promote everything and add your cut. It totally works, and it brings in all the efficiency and support you would need. It’s definitely a great idea to keep in mind, and the results will shine in the long run.

Of course there are demanding situations that can arise, but with the right preparation and focus, you can make this work. Overall, both options are great, dropshipping is good for those that just want a simple online store and not a lot of headache, while dropservicing will be very suitable if you already know the field a bit, but you prefer having someone work for you. In the end, both are amazing, you just have to decide what works for you!
